What I'll Be Wearing this Winter in Arizona

Winter is finally upon us in Arizona - however, it hasn't really gotten under 50 degrees yet in the nighttime so we are still wearing minimal layers at this time of the year! So far, here's a glimpse into what I've been wearing this winter season in Arizona...

Preppy Outfits

In my opinion, preppy outfits are the easiest to style during the winter. They usually feature long sleeve button downs, layers, comfy shoes, and practical accessories.

When looking for pieces that I can wear for a preppy outfit, I typically look at Goodwill or vintage stores. Antique malls are a great place to score some incredible deals and unique pieces if that's what you're looking for in your wardrobe!

I found this white button down at Goodwill, as well as every other button down shirt that I own - it happens to be from Express if you'd like to purchase one that's new.

Tights

I cannot stress enough how important tights are in the winter time. Even if they aren't very warm, tights add so much to your outfit and can really take your look to the next level.

Typically, I'm not one to wear a short skirt and heels, unless it's to an event, so when I add tights to the look, it makes me feel a lot more comfortable.

You can find fun tights practically anywhere - if you're looking for more affordable options, or unique tights, I definitely recommend shopping online. From my experience, there aren't a lot of places to get great tights in-store (at least not in Arizona).

Neutrals

Neutrals, more specifically black and white, are probably my favorite colors to wear. Something about those colors just looks so elegant, chic, and they blend so well with skin tones.

Other than black and white, I love creams/beiges/browns - especially when paired with white. The winter is the perfect time to bust out all of your neutral tones because most people typically like to tone down colors in the cooler months.

However, if you're one to wear bright colors during the winter (I definitely pull out bright colors all year long), then more power to you! I always recommend finding your own style by playing around with different colors, patterns, fit, and trends so that you can see what you resonate most with in the fashion world.

Statement Pieces

It's so important to incorporate statement pieces into your wardrobe. Although it's tempting to stock your wardrobe with all the essentials and basics, I feel like having statement pieces is what takes your style to the next level, as well as boosts your confidence.

I got this top from H&M and I find it very elevated - I could wear this top during the summer, winter, or any other month, which is really important to me.

I paired the top with a pair of jeans that I thrifted from Goodwill, as well as these Stuart Weitzman champaign kitten heels from Goodwill.

Vintage Sweaters

Vintage sweaters have become my new obsession. Every time I go thrifting, I go straight to the men's section in hopes of finding a new sweater to wear! This one is particularly my favorite sweater because of the colors, its warmth, and how it's the perfect fit that I wanted.

I highly recommend checking out your local thrift to find some cool new sweaters to add to your wardrobe!
