Top 5 Beauty Essentials

Personally, I love to keep my beauty routine at a minimum - a simple routine lets my skin breathe and I feel fresh all throughout the day. So today, I'm sharing my top 5 beauty essentials for this spring!

1. Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm

I recently discovered this lip balm about a month ago and I haven't been able to put it down ever since! Burt's Bees tinted lip balms come in around 5 different shades so that you can find the perfect match for your skin tone. Personally, I use the shade Red Dahlia and it's exactly what I've been looking for.

Before I discovered this tinted lip balm, I would have to go through 2 steps for my lips - applying a chapstick and then lightly applying a pink lip - so this product is a 2-in-1! I think that this shade matches any and every makeup look, it's natural enough for a minimal look, and it's buildable so you can wear it with full glam if you wish.

2. Wet N Wild Brow Pencil

I've been using the Wet N Wild retractable brow pencil for years now and it's the best brow product I've tried, especially for the price. Currently, I use the shade Ash Brown; I find it's the perfect match for my face since my hair is blonde and I have naturally dark roots.

I like that this pencil is retractable so that I don't have to sharpen it. It also has a spooley on the opposite side so you can brush your brows before and after pencil application. My favorite feature about this Wet N Wild pencil is that it has an angled tip so you can be as precise as you want!

I highly recommend this brow pencil for many reasons, but the price is absolutely unmatched.

3. Maybelline Lash Sensational

Maybelline has been ruling the mascara game for years; so, of course, I had to include them in my beauty routine. My favorite mascara from Maybelline is Lash Sensational - I've been using it for years and I haven't tried a better one thus far. This mascara features a curved brush head and small bristles on one side so that it completely coats your lashes.

My favorite thing about this mascara is definitely the fact that it has long bristles and short bristles - the short ones help coat your lashes while the long ones separate your lashes and remove any clumps. The formula is also very smooth and buildable so you could use this mascara for a natural or full glam makeup look.

4. Colourpop "Yes, Please" Palette

I'm going to be honest, this is the only eye shadow palette that I ever use. But, to be fair, it has almost every color that I want to use at any given moment - for the other colors I crave, I have individual shadows from Colourpop as well.

I'm a sucker for warm colors and makeup looks so this palette is perfect for me; it has browns, oranges, yellow, and a couple fun shimmery shadows. I would recommend "Yes, Please" to anyone who's looking for a simple palette with warm colors and a few shadows to spice up your look with.

5. Curology Cleanser & Moisturizer

Last but not least, the most important step to my beauty routine is definitely my cleanser and moisturizer. Taking care of your skin, and health in general, should be your top priority when it comes to your beauty routine - without a good base, you won't achieve the results you want.

Recently, I started using Curology, and it has drastically changed my skin - it started working over night! I started off with the free trial (you only have to pay $5 for shipping) and the sample bottle lasted about a month, which gave me enough time to see the results I wanted. I highly recommend trying out the free trial from Curology. However, much like many other prescribed acne medications, you go through a purge phase in the beginning, so don't worry if you notice new break outs.**

**I am obviously not a dermatologist, I'm just telling you my personal experience with Curology in hopes of helping you with your skin journey
