Everything I Did and Wore to NYFW SS22

After a long awaited year and a half or so, Fashion Week is back to its regularly scheduled programming - in person! Once I heard the news, I did not hesitate to book my flights and start reaching out to shows to secure my invites.

Of course, I brought you all along with me so keep reading to see everything I did and wore during this season's New York Fashion Week!

September 7th-8th

Starting off strong during the first night we landed in New York, I walked in my first fashion show for New York Fashion Week (and opened the show)! Thank you so much to Caterine Sanchez for allowing me to help debut her newest collection - click here to view my video from the show.

The next day, our first full day in New York, we decided to shoot a bit of content and walk around Madison Avenue. My first look, pictured above, included the Tracey top from Jet Noire, paired with my camo pants from Bershka, and these black platform combat boots. This was the perfect outfit to wear when having to walk a lot because it was super comfortable but still made a statement.

Our first stop on Madison Avenue was Laudree - I had to get my macaron fix, of course! Next, we stopped by the Schutz store to try on shoes and fuel my shopping addiction. However, we were on a time crunch so I wasn't able to look around long enough to buy anything (sad news, I know).

September 9th

Thursday was the most exciting day out of the whole trip: I was invited to the Monse show so I had to be sure that my outfit was a hard hitter! This outfit was originally bought and styled by my roommate, Daryl Bland, for my birthday and I decided to put my own twist on the styling as well before leaving for New York.

The pieces in this outfit include two button down dresses and shoes from Zara, a thrifted yellow statement necklace, and the Luna bag and strap from Sage Aubrey. This outfit came together so well with two pops of color that have been super trendy this season. The pops of color were especially necessary on the day of the Monse show because it was a gloomy, rainy day!

September 10th

Friday, our last full day in New York, we did a bit of shopping next to Hudson Yards before heading to the hiTechModa fashion show. I wore pieces from designer and stylist Brenton Jones' newly released collection for Jonesy. Pictured above is his cropped t-shirt and cargo pants paired with one of his corsets.

To tie the look together, we styled the set with another bag from Sage Aubrey, the Luna bag in Poppy, for a pop of color and my black boots from Aldo. Click here to see the outfit in action!

In the evening, I decided to head over to the AfterPay event that was running all day so that I could catch a glimpse of the Maison Kitsune event, as well as the concert performed by Tommy Genesis. There was also a photobooth at the event that was the perfect place to get a little video of your outfit!

For the AfterPay event, I wore a custom made dress and top that I designed in 2019 and paired them with a green bag thrifted from Goodwill, patterned tights, and the new Mary Janes from Steve Madden in pink.
