A Look Into My Summer Wardrobe

Summer's heating up and so is my wardrobe. I feel like this summer, I have gotten more creative with how I style my clothes since I've cut back on on how many pieces I keep in my wardrobe as well as how many new pieces I allow in.

Today I'm showing you all my top five favorite outfits that I've worn this summer so far!

Scarf Tops

Wearing a scarf as a top is definitely a summer essential - it comes back in style time and time again, and I'm the biggest fan! There are just so many ways that you can tie a scarf as a top and they always create the most beautiful shapes on the body.

This scarf in particular is one of my favorites to wear as a top because it isn't as smoothly textured as my satin scarves so it doesn't move on my body when I move.

I especially love pairing scarves with mid-rise bottoms because I have a short torso and mid-rise helps lengthen my torso the perfect amount while still covering up as much as I want to!

I highly recommend grabbing one of your scarves that you might not have worn in a while and turning it into a new trendy top for the summer!

Baggy Chic

I think I can speak for a lot of us when I say that baggy chic, specifically inspired by Hailey Bieber's outfits, is one of the best styles out there. It's comfortable, has the perfect mixture of masculinity and femininity, and is always a show stopper!

One great thing about this specific style is that it is one of the easiest to thrift - oversized clothing like button-down shirts, jeans, blazers, and slacks are the items that thrift stores are constantly overflowing with.

I definitely recommend searching your thrift stores day and night until you find your perfect baggy chic pieces - you will, I promise!

Bright Colors

It's no secret that everybody loves bright colors during the summer - adding bright colors to your wardrobe for the summer time is like your ride of passage into the new season.

Personally, I've been loving pairing bright colors together, which makes each color stand out even more, without having to pair one with a neutral. My favorite bright colors this summer have been this cherry red pictured above, as well as this vibrant green pictured above, and orange.

I know that sometimes people may not always have the confidence to rock the brightest colors together, but I urge you to flaunt whichever styles you love, regardless of the color!

If you love it, wear it.

Vacation Wear

Vacation wear is one of my all time favorite styles to wear, at all times of the year!

Sometimes, dressing up in vacation wear even when you aren't going on vacation is such a mood/confidence booster. One trick that I've been doing a lot recently, is styling my current pieces that I own in a way to make them look like vacation wear. For example, the outfit pictured above features a top made out of a scarf and a gold chain belt as well as a dress folded as a skirt. To pull the look together, I styled it with yellow heels and a yellow bag to match.

If you haven't had a chance to get your hands on some vacation wear this summer yet, I recommend trying out this method because it will give you more inspo for pieces that you'll want to buy and make your clothes multi-purpose!

Cut-Out Dresses

The ever-evolving cut-out dress (a mouthful, I know). I'm not usually one to absolutely obsess over a lot of the latest trends, I'm a bit picky, but this style of cut-out dress has stolen my heart. I feel as though it's the perfect amount of vacation-wear, casual, classy, and chic.

One thing about cut-out dresses, is that they will never go out of style because there's always a designer reinventing this classic piece. The way these dresses shape the body creates such a beautiful silhouette that I just adore.

Catch me in these cut-out dresses for the rest of summer!

"But the seventh day is the sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your ox, your donkey, or any of your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns, so that your male and female servants may rest, as you do"
