Transitioning my style from summer to fall is definitely one of my favorite things to do fashion wise - there are a lot more options to choose from when it comes to styling your fall outfits. However, the tough part about the transition is finding pieces that won't make you break a sweat during the warmer days but will still be fit for fall. Today, I'm giving you all just a few wardrobe essentials to make your summer to fall transition a bit easier!
3/4 Length Sleeve Dresses
Dresses with 3/4 length sleeves are definitely useful when it comes to this time of the year. For one, they're super easy to style, and second, they have just the right amount of sleeve to keep you at a moderate temperature throughout the day.
This dress from Who What Wear Collection is great because the length is perfect for warmer days but the material is thick enough to keep you warm during the cooler days.
Bonus: this dress has front pockets - who doesn't love a dress with pockets?!
Boyfriend jeans are like the holy grail when it comes to bottoms that work all throughout the year. Before I tried on my first pair of boyfriend jeans, I hated jeans with a passion and you couldn't change my mind! But, one day as I was thrift shopping with my friend, she handed me a pair of boyfriend jeans and I was mindblown. Boyfriend jeans have become one of my go-to's for pants.
Although some people are deeply opposed to wearing jeans during the summer, I think that boyfriend jeans are a good compromise if you still wanna rock your jeans during the peak of the heat.
These jeans from Revice Denim are great for wearing during season transitions because they're comfy and the ripped detailing allows your legs to breathe if they get too warm!
As we all know, I'm a huge fan of bermuda shorts and I will vouch for them til the end of my days! Bermuda shorts are the perfect pair for your chunky sweaters or sweatshirts during the fall because you can still manage to stay cool.
These shorts from H&M are definitely my go-to's when it comes to shorts because they match literally everything and since they're black, they're easily dressed up if need be.
Cropped Tank Tops
Cropped tank tops are great for both the summer and fall because you can wear them by themselves during the summer or you could use them to layer over a long sleeve during the fall for a trendy look. Personally, I love layering tank tops over polos or turtle necks - it gives off a bit of a preppy vibe which is always great!
If you're not really into layering, you could always throw on an oversized button-up on top or even wear a cardigan for added warmth for your outfit.
Slip Dresses/Midi Dresses
Slip dresses and midi dresses are perfect for all times of the year. They're great to be paired with chunky sweaters, cardigans, long sleeves, turtle necks, or nothing at all - the possibilities are endless!
If you're looking to make your slip dress cool-weather appropriate, I suggest adding tights, booties, and layering a long sleeve or turtleneck underneath.
Until next time,
"That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God"
